BARN 40TH ANNIVERSARY
We are now in to the Barn’s 40th Anniversary next year. This is a time for all members and friends to become involved in the celebration and they are invited to attend all the events. Below is the suggested programme but please contact the Anniversary Committee with your ideas. We hope most of the clubs and classes will be involved in the “Auction of Promises” as this will be a very good fund raising event for the Barn.

SUGGESTED PLAN FOR 40th ANNIVERSARY YEAR 2010
February – Friday 26th . Launch of the celebration at 7pm. An informal evening with entertainment provided by some of the groups within the Barn. Admission free. Refreshments provided.
March - Pre-school long term display of collage of events from 1970
Friday 26th evening. Music appreciation will take you on a Musical Journey
April – Weekend of 16th 17th 18th - Arts and Craft Exhibition.
May - Wednesday 5th Flower Arranging will present “Flowers are my Music”.
Saturday 8th - Gardening Club will hear a talk about the “Stourhead Landscape”.
Saturday 15th - Spring Fair
Saturday 22nd – Auction of Promises
June - Friday 11th - 1970’s disco and barbeque organised by Pre-school
July - Choir concert - ?Saturday 17th
August - Camera Club - display in Library in August.
September – Friday 17th evening – A fascinating talk about Jane Austen.
October - Saturday 16th }- 40th Event Anniversary weekend. Celebrations in process
Sunday 17th } of being organised.
Tuesday 19th Local History open evening
November - Natural history celebration evening either Tuesday 9th or 23rd
Saturday 27th - Christmas Fair
December - Carol Concerts – ? Friday 17th and Saturday 18th
